Once the early hydrangea is finished blooming, along comes the hydrangea paniculata exploding into mid-summer with large cone-shaped flowers bound to take your breath away. ‘Vanilla Strawberry’ starts out white but the blooms quickly take on a bright pink and finally mature to a deep Strawberry hue as the summer slips into the cooler nights of fall. Give this showstopper plenty of space, it grows to 6-7’x 4-5’ in zones 4-8. Easy to grow ‘Vanilla Strawberry’ combines well with Loropetalum and ornamental grasses.
